Insomniac Sale Picks: Linen Dresses

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Kaitlin requested a few picks for linen dresses, so here we go:

Donna Morgan Sleeveless Linen Dress – was $118, now $58.41

I am constantly on the prowl for black and white printed dresses, since I believe them to be some of the most versatile pieces in my own wardrobe. This bold floral is just arty enough to feel sleek and modern. Add in a chic asymmetric hemline and fabulous tie belt, and you’ve got one fab frock. (Belt is removable, if you hate it!) Available in sizes 2 – 12. 100% linen.

Skater Dress In Linen – was $58, now $40.60

This’ll be the shortie of the group, no doubt, with a side neck to hem measurement of 34.25″. But the fit-and-flare design and criss-crossed back straps make it so marvelously summery. Available in sizes 2- 14 in this peachy coral and also in powder blue. 55% Linen, 45% Viscose.

Tahari by Arthur S. Levine Linen Shirt Dress – was $138, now $81.90

Many ruffled garments make me feel claustrophobic, but this gently ruffled, gracefully v-necked dress is an exception. That incongruous-seeming webbed belt isn’t my favorite. (I’d remove it and use in more tough, casual ensembles.) But the black buttons mean this frock will pair beautifully with sleek, black accessories. Available in sizes 2- 16 in this teal, and ivory with tan buttons. Lined body, linen/rayon blend.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for linen dresses:

  1. Nordstrom and Macy’s – Mainly blends, but also 100% linen at a variety of price points. Nordstrom includes some gorgeous Eileen Fisher offerings.
  2. Pure Collection – No idea why, but this cashmere-centric vendor has loads of fun linen shifts and dresses. This silk/linen shirtdress is particularly lovely. And sleeved. (Pants and tops, too.)
  3. Land’s End – 13 lovely options in a variety of appealing colors. (This is my fave.)

I love that Land’s End dress, too! 1% Spandex! Great idea!

I’m on the hunt for sleek ankle trousers for work. I can’t wear capris as they are too short and casual. I would really like to show off some cute sandals appropriately at work. Thanks!
