Insomniac Sale Picks: Mustard-colored Cardigans

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Mary AND Becky requested a few picks for mustard cardigans, so here we go:

Liz Claiborne Long-Sleeve Cable Knit Cardigan – was $40, now $26.99

If your search for mustard cardigans fails, try “curry” instead. This cozy cardigan is a color called “lemon curry,” which has the same dark, rich tones as most mustards. And although the descriptor says cables, it’s more of a basketweave. Available in sizes M – XL in regular sizes, S – XXL in tall. (This similar cardigan comes in sizes 12 – 40, color is “golden spice.”)

Banana Republic Anna Merino Wool Cardigan – was $79.50, now $51.66
with code GIFTS

You’re definitely paying more here, but merino is a good investment. Warm, soft, durable, and has a gorgeous drape. Second only to cashmere in my opinion! And in keeping with the non-mustard mustards, this color is “saffron.” Available in sizes XS – XL. Also in petite sizes.

Modcloth Charter School Cardigan – was $34.99, now $27.99

I own this cardigan in an orange-y hue and it gets a little static-y in the winter, but is a decent basic option. And I love that it’s a V-neck and comes in sizes S – 4X. Yes!

J.Crew Factory Clare Cardigan – was $49.50, now $24.50
plus free shipping with code 12DAYS

So this is cotton, the thought of which makes me shiver right now … but could be perfect for those of you in milder climes. Love the matching buttons in subtly shiny shell. Available in sizes XXS – XL.

LOFT Pointelle Cardigan – was $49.50, now $24.75
with code HOLIDAY (also gets you free shipping in the U.S.)

For a slightly less orange-yellow, this acrylic/wool blend rounds out tonight’s selection of fibers. Features a pretty little shirred detail along the shoulder line in the back. Available in sizes XXS – XL.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for mustard cardigans:

  1. Modcloth – Mustard seems vintage-y for some reason, so Modcloth has it covered.
  2. Land’s End  – Their version is “Dijon.” FANCY. Includes plus-sized, petite, and tall options.
  3. eBay – Since mustard isn’t always trending, check eBay for past-season options. Hundreds of options in a variety of sizes and styles.

Heres a challenge for you- I love sweater dresses, they look so cozy and comfy but when I try them in they never seem to flatter my body type which is more curvy. (hips and thighs with some stomach bulge) any maybe Aline? Swing? bonus if petite size avail)
