Insomniac Sale Picks: Office-appropriate Tunics

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Laura requested a few picks for office-appropriate tunics, so here we go:

Kenneth Cole Mixed Media Winter Floral Printed Tunic – was $139.50, now $41.99

Prints that include both black and color are fabulously versatile, and if you’re a fan of reds, pinks, and magentas this tunic is for you! A shallow V neckline is flattering yet office-appropriate, and 3/4 sleeves allow for watches and bracelets. Available in sizes XS – XL.

Style&Co. Long-Sleeve Cowl-Neck Tunic – was $54, now $33.99

OK, I’m pretty tempted by this one. Such a great, full-coverage, cozy option for fall and winter. And what a bargain! This would look fabulous with skinny jeans, red leggings, tall boots, or funky earrings. Available in sizes XS – XL.

Lole Neva Tunic – was $90, now $57.99

Drop-waists don’t work for me, but they look fabulous on others and this simple, clean-lined drop-waist tunic is a great foundation upon which to build an outfit. Pair with leggings or skinnies and a rich, printed scarf for a fun, work-appropriate ensemble. Available in this teal in sizes XS – L, and in red in sizes M and L for $31.99.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for office-appropriate tunics:

  1. Nordstrom – Hundreds of options at all price points, and including petite and plus sizes. Love this sweater tunic with leather pockets.
  2. Boden – Stocks tunics year-round, and most styles have 3/4 sleeves or longer. Hallelujah!
  3. ASOS – Loads of tunics in a variety of styles, lengths, sizes, and levels of fanciness. Also, ASOS stocks lots of “skater dresses” that are so short they can serve as tunics for many women. If you like a high waist on your tunics, these could work beautifully!
  4. Macy’s – Prints, solids, knits, wovens, petite, and plus sizes. There’s something for everyone, and many bargains to be found.

Could you do wide-shaft boots? It just got cold where I live, and boots are on my mind.

I like the tunics but pairing them with leggings or skinny jeans for work? Perhaps the OP has a very casual office, but I would not wear either to my workplace, which is business casual dress code. Would be nice to see tunics paired with alternate bottoms that are more work-appropriate.

I agree that narrower styled bottoms usually look better with tunics, but one way I’ve found of getting around that for a ‘business casual’ code is to wear them with slim-style maxi skirts- hope that helps! 🙂

OP here – my workplace is super casual! I work in what is essentially a warehouse, and wearing footwear that’s not sneakers is considered dressy. 😉

Sally, thank you for finding these! I’ve never used 6pm before but they have some awesome stuff!

I have a back injury and haven’t been able to wear high heels for over four years. I would love posts of beautiful flat shoes, boots, and sandals. I’m trying to retrain my style imagination to include flat footwear.
