*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Gwynne requested a few picks for peplum tops and jackets that will work for tall women with longer torsos, so here we go:
Elementz Three-Quarter-Sleeve Printed Peplum Cardigan – was $54, now $42.99
Gwynne mentioned that her main fit issue with peplums has been that the peplum itself hits too high on her torso. So although most of tonights picks aren’t in tall sizes, all have peplums that are attached low on the bodice. (If you need tall sizing overall, some suggestions are at the bottom of this post.) This darling collarless jacket (called a cardigan, but looks to be tightly woven) has a shaped waist, a lowish peplum, AND it’s machine washable! Available in sizes S – XL.
Calvin Klein Solid Peplum Top – was $59.50, now $53.99
It looks like this model is 5’9″, and the peplum is hitting well below her natural waist, so hopefully this simple top will work for other tall and long-waisted women! Available in black and flame orange in sizes XS – XL. Size availability varies by color.
Tall Ponte Short-Sleeve Peplum Top – was $49.50, now $29.70
with code BRSUM40
This sleek, simple top DOES come in tall sizes and features a fairly low peplum. Short sleeves mean it can be worn now, but the ponte fabric make it heavy enough for fall wear, too. Available in sizes 2, 6, 12, and 14. For another tall option also from Banana Republic, see this Houndstooth V-Back Shell in 2, 4, 6, 10, and 12.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for peplum that will work for tall women:
- Ann Taylor – Peplum dresses, tops, and jackets available in tall sizes. This leopard print top is darling.
- LOFT – Fewer peplums sized for tall women, but lots of styles in which the peplum hits lower on the bodice.
- ASOS – You’ll have to eyeball and/or measure, but in the 250+ peplum garments there are several that should work. This oxblood top features a lowish waistline.
