*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Variante requested a few picks for tartan trousers, so here we go:
Express Twill Columnist Ankle Pant – was $79.90, now $54.90
with code 1548
What a perfect pair for fall, am I right? This mid-rise slim-fitting pant will look equally marvelous with an oversized sweater or chic blouse. It’s a poly-blend fabric that’s machine washable. Available in sizes 00 -18. I couldn’t find a red plaid in sizes above 18, but this black-based tartan is a similar style in sizes 10 – 30.
New York & Company 7th Avenue Slim Leg Pant – was $52.95, now $37.06
Also a mid-rise, but with a slightly wider leg style and full-length leg, which makes this an ideal office pant. But it’d also look fabulous with a badass graphic tee and moto jacket! (Plaid is a punk staple.) Available in sizes 0 -20. Also in petite and tall sizes. This similar style is available in plus sizes.
Charter Club Lexington Jeans – was $59.50, now $38.39
with code BTS
Although they’re described here as “jeans” and do feature traditional five-pocket styling, this dark tartan pair could still work for work. It’s another slim-leg, full-length style so might look best hemmed for flats or with a tight-to-the-ankle bootie. Available in sizes 4 -16, as well as petite and plus sizes.
Brooks Brothers Wool Stretch Pant – was $148, now $44.40
I’m throwing these into the mix despite being able to find anything similar in petite/plus/tall sizes because they’re SUCH a gorgeous tartan and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pair of pants this cheap from Brooks Brothers. These are wool and unlined, so if you get itchy probably not a good bet. Available in sizes 0 -14.
