Insomniac Sale Picks: Professional Plus-size A-line Skirts

Gray is being touted as the neutral of the season for fall, and this simple, classic A-line skirt is a wonderful basic to have in your closet. It’s 31″ long for a modest length, and perfect for more conservative offices. Available in sizes 14W – 24W.

Kasper Pleated Skirt – was $79, now $50.99

I adore the swish and sway of pleated skirts, and this one looks like a winner. The pleats start a bit lower on the skirt and are few and wide, which will give you just a hit of swishy movement. Available in sizes 14W – 24W. (Very similar versions in gray and navy, too.)

Jones New York Pleated Short Skirt – was $109, now $44.99

Poor, footless skirt model. Where are your feet? ANYHOO, if you dig allover pleats, this skirt is for you. Made from a lightweight poly for extra floatiness, but also lined so it should work well into fall and winter, especially with tights. And, as always, black and white prints are incredibly trendy and versatile. Available in sizes 14W – 24W, sold out in 22W.

Pendleton Tonya Skirt – was $158, now $94.99

Gotta include this one because it is so danged pretty. The print is perfect for summer, but with black in the mix it can be dressed darker for fall. It’s a silk/cotton blend, and fully lined. Available in sizes 14W – 24W, sold out in 16W.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for professional plus-size A-line/non-pencil skirts:

1. Nordstrom – Pencils definitely dominate, but there are some classic A-line and full styles like this simple pleated black skirt.
2. Land’s End – Hemlines can be a bit on the long side, but there are plenty of cute A-line options here. Love this black and brown patterned A-line.
3. OneStopPlus – With nearly 250 skirt styles to choose from, a few are winners. Again, plenty of long hemlines so read those garment measurements!
