*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Kaitlin requested a few picks for professional polka dots, so here we go:
LC Lauren Conrad Polka-Dot Blazer – was $70, now $52.50
If I didn’t already own a polka-dot blazer, I’d snap this one right up! With a chic, tailored cut and contrast lining at the cuffs, this blazer will look fabulous with dresses for the office, and equally cute with jeans for the weekend. Available in sizes 2 – 16.
Chaps Polka-Dot Surplice Dress – was $100, now $60
Purple and polka dots – what a fun combination! Many offices would require an outer layer with this dress, so consider a red cardigan or olive green blazer. Toss on some bright pumps and you’ve got a great, office-friendly ensemble. This dress is 42″ to the hem and machine-washable. Available in sizes S – XL. Also comes in petite.
Aerosoles Women’s Benefit Peep-Toe Pump – was $79, now $69.99
I love peeptoes, but they can really cut into your toe tops. This design allows a bit of nail polish to peek out, but keeps your tootsies protected! Available in sizes 5 – 12, including wide sizes. This iteration is sold out in a few sizes, but consider white with black polka dots OR red with white polka dots instead! So many dotty choices …
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for professional polka dots:
- Talbots – OK, those shorts won’t fly. But the rest will! Talbots stocks plus, petite, and petite plus sizes, too.
- Piperlime
– Geez, it’s all about Piperlime this week! Plenty of slightly racier options mixed in, but a great array of dotty blouses. This one is lovely.
- Bloomingdale’s – Most of the big department stores will sell you some dots, but Bloomie’s has a mouth-watering selection. From these stellar Loeffler Randall pumps to this much more affordable simple tee.

That dress! It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.
Hi Sal, I’ve got another request for you-
Natural fiber twinsets (Thin merino wool, cashmere, silk, cotton) with v or scoop neck sleeveless shells. I know these are more frequently sold as seperates. Any ideas?
Oooh, I’ll give it a think … and cook up a post soon! Have you tried Talbots yet?
I recently bought a sleeveless polka dot dress to wear to an outdoor wedding and was looking through my drawers to find a wrap. As I considered my choices, I found myself wondering if Sally would wear these together!
(I decided you would, but still need to “rehearse the outfit” to be sure.)
I’m honored, Karen!
