*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Heather requested a few picks for shirt dresses with straight skirts, so here we go:
Adrianna Papell 3/4 Sleeve Lace Shirt Dress – was $140, now $138
This dress combines a spring-y color with a two spring trends: Lace and sheers. And yet it still manages to be classic enough for many workplaces. Most shirt dresses include a belt, so if you prefer to go beltless this shift style is a great option. Available in sizes 4- 12. (Not sure why they only knocking $2 off, but hey, it’s a sale!)
Donna Morgan Sascha Long Sleeve Belle Shirt Dress – was $130, now $45.50
And THIS option cashes in on the black-and-white graphic print trend for spring and summer! I’d swap out the self-belt for a pop of color – maybe a patent red or cobalt suede belt instead. Available in sizes 2 – 14.
Muse Tab Sleeve Shirtdress – was $136, now $41.99
Basic but bright, this dress has convertible sleeves with button tab closures and a smocked waistband with adjustable drawstring at waist. It would look great with a stack of bracelets and some fun printed shoes. Available in sizes 2 – 16.
Anne Klein Long-Sleeve Belted Shirtdress – was $99, now $79.99
Since most of the shirtdresses on sale now are a bit on the short side, here’s a more modest hemline on a fantastic dress. Who can resist houndstooth? Not I. Available in sizes S- XL. (Also check out this on-trend black-and-white windowpane print dress! Knee-length hem on that one, too.)
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for shirt dresses with straight skirts:
- Macy’s – Fun prints and classic solids both in stock!
- Orvis – For longer hem lengths, this is the place. Check out this black print option.
- LL Bean – This vendor typically stocks straight-skirted shirt dresses for spring, summer, and sometimes fall.
- And, of course, THRIFT STORES! Shirt dresses are a classic, and most of the ones in thrift stores feature straight skirts. (thethriftshopper.com can help you locate stores near you.)
