Insomniac Sale Picks: Stylish Casual Pullovers

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Sarah requested a few picks for “a stylish equivalent to a sweatshirt,” so here we go:

_8509152

Print Mixed Media Top – was $48, now $28.80

Raglan sleeves and a ribbed hem give this top sweatshirt-like appeal, but with a printed bodice and mixed media construction it’s slightly more dressy and upscale. Available in navy, burgundy, gray, and blue – all with printed inserts – in sizes XS- XL, as well as petite sizes. (This lace overlay top has similar styling, and comes in 1X – 3X.)

Stripe Heavyweight Jersey Open Crew – was $54, now $37.80
with code FRIENDLY, pin 3055

I adore the feel of a thick-knit cotton pullover like this one, and those muted tones are fabulous for fall and winter. Available in sizes XS – L. (From the Canvas line, so runs smaller than most Land’s End. Also see this slightly lighter weight striped top in petite and plus sizes to 3X. This version in tall, too!)

anthropologie flickered cowlneck

Flickered Cowlneck – was $78, now $39.95

And for a slightly artier look, this drape-front top is a gorgeous option. It’s made from a nubby blend of cotton, nylon, silk, and wool, and will look equally fantastic with a flowy skirt or well-loved pair of jeans. Available in pale purple, gray, and red in sizes XS- XL. Size availability varies by color. (This drape top has similar details in sizes 1X – 3X.)

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for stylish casual pullovers:

  1. Land’s End – See especially the Starfish Collection, which is meant to be chic-casual loungewear. This cozy cowlneck is right up my alley.
  2. Eddie Bauer – With options like the sweatshirt sweater and an actual sweatshirt with feminine styling, this vendor has loads of options.
  3. Gap – An entire category labeled Sweatshirts and More. Yes! Love this dot embellished pullover.
  4. And, of course, THRIFT STORES! For a request this general, I’ll always throw thrift on the fire. Check among sweaters and long-sleeved shirts for outside-the-box options. (thethriftshopper.com can help you locate stores near you.)

I love pullovers that can double as work tops or out on the town tops – they’re so comfy!

Thanks so much for tackling this! That Eddie Bauer sweatshirt sweater looks just about perfect, warm and just the right amount of detailing, but that flickered cowlneck is tempting.
