Insomniac Sale Picks: Stylish Walking Shoes

*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Heather requested a few picks for stylish walking shoes – athletic or otherwise – so here we go:

bzees dash2

NATURALIZER BZees Dash – was $69, now $29.99 – $68.95

There are so many cute, stylish sneakers on the market now, but this new line from Naturalizer is offering some cool shapes, great color combos, and styles that are getting absolutely rave reviews from customers. They’re soft, lightweight, supportive, and fabulous for long days of standing or walking. This gray/pink combo is great, but this style is also available in two camo prints, several black/gray combos, a sporty navy/gray, and more. Available in U.S. sizes 5 – 11, including 2E and C/D widths. Size availability varies by color. For something a little less sneaker-ish from the BZees line, try this sporty wedge.

hush puppies haden

Hush Puppies Haden – was $59.95, now $14.99 – $55

This strappy flat is midway between sporty and dressy, and coming from Hush Puppies will offer a supportive, comfortable fit. I’d wear these with jeans or dresses for a long day of walking. Available in this black as well as dark brown, leopard print, and taupe/metallic in U.S. sizes 5.5 – 12, including 2A, C/D, and E widths. Size availability varies by color. If you prefer a strap-free flat, this ballet style with a slight wedge gets high marks for comfort.

trotters zane

Trotters Zane – was $99, now $39.99

These smart little loafers would look great with a preppy outfit – think a printed tee and Bermudas, or cuffed jeans and a short-sleeved button-front. For many people, a high-vamp shoe like this is more comfortable for long walks than low-vamp ballet flats. This style has a tiny heel – 0.25″ – which also adds comfort in some cases. Available in this coral as well as black leather, black patent, white leather, rust leather, or dusty brown leather in U.S. sizes 6 – 12, including AA and D widths. If you like the loafer style but need a truly flat sole, try these Fitzwell mocs.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for stylish walking shoes:

  1. Clarks – Y’all know I love me some Clarks. From comfy flats to stylish sneaks, you’ll find lots of options.
  2. Earth – Fabulous flats, Mary Janes, and slip-ons.
  3. Josef Seibel – If you love the look of fashion sneakers but can’t do support-free Converse, try Siebels. Great sandals and boots, too.

Oh, hallelujah. So, I’m going on a trip at the end of June where I will be walking 5+ miles a day through a warm city, but it’s also semi-professional, so I’m less than inclined to just pull out my sneakers. Anyone have any suggestions or favorite go-to shoes for warm-weather and lots of walking?
