Insomniac Sale Picks: Sweater Jackets

*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Erica requested a few picks for sweater jackets, so here we go:

Ann Taylor Knit Moto Jacket – was $179, now $89.99
(extra 40% off taken at cart)

We’ve done “knit” motos recently, but many of those were jersey/sweatshirt material. This guy is an actual nubby sweater knit in an edgy but versatile cut. The faux leather edging helps define the shape. Available in sizes XXS – L, including petite and tall sizes. This similar style comes in 0X – 3X. Looking for something lighter? This Lucky Brand marled moto is available in an ivory/oatmeal combo in sizes XS – XL, and 1X – 3X.

Karen Scott Zip-Front Marled-Knit Sweater – was $49, now $23.24
with code GIFT

Sweater jackets can mean blazers or jackets done up in knits, but this style of zip-front cardigan also qualifies. It gets high marks for comfort and style, though reviewers have remarked that it runs a bit large. An acrylic/poly blend, this option is machine washable. Available in this black and white, chestnut, red, or teal in petite sizes, charcoal, ivory, olive, purple, or teal in regular sizes, and teal in 3X. This similar cabled style comes in 0X – 3X in three colors. Prefer natural fibers? This zip cardi is 78% cotton, available in seven colors, and comes in regular, petite, and tall sizes.

Old Navy Faux-Leather-Trim Zip Cardigan – was $44.94, now $40-$42

I’m a little bit in love with this one, especially paired with that Beatles tee. It’s a cotton/acrylic blend so it’ll be cozy but not itchy, and it’s got great details like the faux leather trim and contrast stitching at the shoulders. Sounds like it runs a bit on the boxy side, for what it’s worth, and there are a few negative reviews but most are overwhelmingly positive. Available in this gray as well as a light purple-y taupe in sizes XS – XXL, including petite and tall sizes. This similar but spendy option comes in 1X – 3X, more affordable plus option here.

International Concepts Belted Striped Cardigan – was $99.50, now $44.99
with code GIFT

In my opinion, this, too, qualifies as a sweater jacket. Worn open it may appear more cardigan-like, but belted it has considerably more structure. Don’t love that particular faux leather belt? Swap in your own instead. This is a cotton/poly blend and machine washable. Available in this red/black, a taupe/black version of the same pattern, and black/white chevrons in sizes XS – XL. Also in petite and plus sizes.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for sweater jackets:

  1. Woolovers – Great prices and a variety of zip-up, hooded, and button-through styles, including this notch-collar cardigan.
  2. Nordstrom – Lots of styles and sizes in various price ranges. Love this boiled wool, collarless option.
  3. Ann Taylor – Cute, office-friendly options like this suede-trimmed sweater jacket.

Lane Bryant has several great knit moto jackets this season… I bought the houndstooth one, my friend bought one with a little sparkle. Killer sales lately, too!

Gotta look out for my fellow plus girls!
