*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Carol requested a few picks for swingy knee-length skirts, so here we go:
Manoukian Woven Full Skirt – was $98, now $87.99
I’m just barely resisting this one myself, friends. Carol requested either pleated full skirts (my favorite style), or anything with swing and swish. This falls into the first category, of course, as it is made from woven cotton. It looks gray here, but actually features a teeny tiny blue pinstripe. Adorable. Fully lined. Available in sizes 2 – 14. Also comes in an abstract blue/black/tan print here.
Riviera Skirt – was $88, now $26.40 to $61.60
Boden lists this skirt as “below the knee,” but we all know that’s relative. It’s 23.5″ long, which puts it about mid-kneecap on this 5’5″ gal. It’s cotton lined with another layer of cotton, so promises to be breathable and floaty. Available in this print, a gray/red variant of this print, orange/white scallop print, and blue/white scallop print in sizes 2 -18. Size availability varies by color.
Bias Stripe Full Skirt – was $78, now $41.99
with code FASHION40
Perhaps this skirt is “full” in person, but it looks like a nice swingy a-line to me. Made from a poly/viscose blend, it’s sure to have a lovely drape. And you can never go wrong with chevrons! Available in sizes XXS – L. Also comes in navy/white chevrons.
Eiffel for You, Paris Skirt – was $112.99, now $78.99
Here’s a bonus skirt for yas. Yes, it’s a pretty kitschy print and at 28-30″ long it will be below-the-knee on many. But here’s why this skirt gets a spot in tonight’s roundup: It’s machine washable, lightweight for summer, and available in sizes XS – 4X. YES! Thank you, Bettie Page!
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for swingy knee-length skirts:
- Boden – Boden lets you search by skirt length, and has some fun full and a-line options for summer.
- eShakti -Mainly known for dresses, but this site has darling skirts and nearly all are full or pleated.
- eBay – Narrow down search results by size, style, and color. This is where I’d look!
- And, of course, THRIFT STORES! I’ll admit that pencil skirts abound, but there are always some swingier options at my thrifting haunts. Especially of the silky variety. (thethriftshopper.com can help you locate stores near you.)
