*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Ericka requested a few picks for versatile oxfords so here we go:
Naturalizer Lonnie – was $79, now $59.95
This is a pretty amazing price for a genuine leather oxford, especially one from a brand as beloved as Naturalizer. The pick-stitching gives this style a little flair, but isn’t overly distracting, making these a versatile choice. If you’re not a fan of the contrast, though, they also come in tan and the stitching is much subtler. Available in US sizes 5.5 – 11, including some wide widths. Size availability varies by color.
Rocket Dog Jerome – was $54.95, now $38.99
A bit of brogueing gives these some texture, but the classic shape means they’ll work for a variety of outfits. This option is vegan, and a bargain to boot! Available in this burgundy brush-off as well as a dark gray brush-off in US sizes 6 – 11. Size availability varies by color. Looking for a leather brogue? I’m swooning over these Sebago Claremonts.
Bass Dater – was $89, now $35.99
These look a little odd in profile, but they’re a classic round-toe oxford shape from the top. (Doubtful anyone will be crouching on the floor to get a side view of your shoes anyway.) And I just love this rich cognac color – strangely hard to find in an oxford. These also come in classic black, and both options are vegan-friendly. Available in US sizes 6 – 11. Size availability varies by color.
Born Mott – was $110, now $54.99 – $109.95
Oh, believe me, metallics are versatile. Especially subtle, mottled ones like these. But even if this color and finish doesn’t send you, these comfy Borns come in black, brown, tan gray, and three other light colors. Available in US sizes 6 – 11. Size availability varies by color.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for versatile oxfords:
- Frye – Cheap, no. Versatile and high-quality, yes. Also check 6pm for past-season styles and colors.
- Bass – A classic source for oxfords, brogues, saddle shoes, and all related styles.
- DSW – Couldn’t find more than a couple of brands to highlight, but DSW has dozens of cute pairs including these classic brogues.
