Insomniac Sale Picks: Washable 3/4-sleeve Dresses

*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Sara requested a few picks for washable 3/4-sleeve dresses, so here we go:

washable dress

Toad & Co Rosalinda Dress – was $82, now $45.99

This darling dress hits both of Sara’s desired marks AND is made from 48% organic cotton – win! Toad & Co does great dresses that feel great and stand up to hard wear and washing. I love this red, but it also comes in plum, a dark green print, or a heather brown print. Available in sizes XS – XL. Size availability varies by color. This washable dress has a similar shape and is available in sizes 0 -36W.

green dress sleeves

Talbots Ottoman Fit & Flare Dress – was $129, now $77.40

This is a fantastic work dress, especially if you’re in an office that tends to blast the AC all summer long. The cut is really more of an A-line, so if you’re not a huge fan of volume, give it a whirl. Also notice the contrast texture panels in the bodice – a great detail. Available in this green as well as navy, hot pink, electric blue, or pale blue in sizes 2 – 20, as well as petite, plus, and petite plus sizes. Size availability varies by color.

Gap Boatneck Stripe Dress – was $59.95, now $38.97
with code STYLE

If you’re in the market for a more casual 3/4-sleeve dress, this stripy, slim-fitting frock should fit the bill. I’d pair this with a cargo jacket, belt, and ankle boots for a chic springtime look. Available in this navy as well as pale blue stripe in sizes XS – XXL.Size availability varies by color. This similar style is available in plus sizes.

coral wrap dress

Ann Taylor 3/4-sleeve Wrap Dress – was $109, now $65.40
discount applied at checkout

This gal doesn’t look too jazzed about her dress, but it gets great reviews from customers and looks like a true classic. This is a true wrap dress and would work great for a night out. Available in this coral as well as dark olive in sizes 0 -18, including petite and tall sizes. Size availability varies by color. Also love this slightly longer printed wrap dress in regular and petite sizes. Here are similar shapes and similar colors in plus sizes.

  2. Patagonia – Fun prints and versatile solids.
  3. Blue Canoe – I own and adore the Puzzle Dress. Does need line drying.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for washable 3/4-sleeve dresses:

Haha, the last model really doesn’t look enthusiastic at all …

Looks like the Talbots dress is only on sale in black – but the price is now $67.49.

  3. Roselyne

Oooh, I love the first dress, but the link seems to be broken.

Insomniac Sales Pick Request: tall maxi dresses that can fit an actual (non-strapless) bra. Ideally also with enough fabric that a bra doesn’t peek out at the neckline. 🙂

Also, quick note on that Gap dress: I tried it on, and the fabric is GREAT. However, it is much tighter over the hips than shown (I’m pretty hourglass-y, and slightly bigger on top: the bust fit fine, the shoulders fit fine, the waist/hips/tush region was full-on bodycon dress), and it wound up coming about 3-4 inches below my bum. Might be great for someone very petite, very short-torso-ed, or looking for a tunic. 🙂
