*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Connie requested a few picks for wide calf boots,Ā so here we go:
Fitzwell Idaho Extra Wide – was $199.99, now $59.99
Such a gorgeous, classic, tall heeled boot! Love that graceful almond toe and the uncluttered design. 17.75″ circumference and a 3.25″ heel. Available in black leather and black suede in US sizes 4 – 13, sold out in 5, 6, and 7. Size availability varies by finish. (This similar Fitzwell boot with a 17.5″ circumference is still available in 6.5 and 7.5.)
David Tate Wendy Wide Shaft – was $204.95, now $91.99
With a considerably less towering heel and subtle elastic inserts for extra give, this sleek riding boot is bound to be as comfy as it is chic. 17.75″ circumference with a 2″ heel. Available in brown and black leather in U.S. sizes 4 – 13, sold out in 8, 10, and 11. Size availability varies by color. (This lighter brown riding boot is available in more sizes, but calf is only 16.5″.)
Natural Soul Vanity Wide Shaft – was $99, now $72.99
And an even lower heel with some moto-influenced buckle details. Natural Soul is an offshoot of Naturalizer, so these boots will be both comfy and well-constructed. 17″ circumference with a 1.5″ heel. Available in black and gray leather in U.S. sizes 7 -10. Size availability varies by color.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for wide calf boots:
- Ros Hommerson – One of my favorite brands for clean, classic wide and extra wide calf tall boots.
- Widewidths.com – Includes four levels of width as well as three foot widths.
- David Tate – Another brand for great-looking heeled and flat wide boots.
- DUO – Expensive, but a blogger favorite for versatile wide calf styles.

Lands End also has boots with wider calves. The regular width ones are also on the wider side, which is just what I need. I’m one of those in-between people: the regular calf boots are (usually) too narrow and the wide-calf boots are way too big. I’ve been fortunate to sometimes find a regular-calf style that’s made just a bit wider.
Thanks for this post! I’m an 18″ calf and often the “wide” I see in stores only means 16-16.5″. š After buying exclusively from Ros Hommerson, I just received my first pair from Duo and I’m in love. They were not cheap, but first time customers can get 10% off plus free shipping and they have a great selection!
