*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Roselyne requested a few picks for lined plus-sized pencil skirts, so here we go:
Talbots Oval Jacquard Pencil Skirt – was $99, now $28
Don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of neutrals in tonight’s picks, but I wanted to kick things off with a bright, fun color! You can’t quite see it here, but this skirt has cool geometric texture – ovals, as you might’ve guessed from the product name. Fully lined from the waistband down. Available in this turquoise as well as coral in sizes 12W – 24w. Size availability varies by color. Also available in regular, petite, and petite plus sizes. (Need black in a fiber other than wool? Try this simple poly-blend from Sejour.)
Jessica London Wool Pencil Skirt – was $79.99, now $41.09 – $56.62
Wool may sound like the worst idea EVER if you’re living through the end of summer, but it’ll be fall before you know it. And this lined wool pencil skirt will serve you well through next spring. It’s a simple straight cut with a kick pleat in back. Available in this plaid as well as black, charcoal, ivory/peach houndstooth, or ivory in sizes 12 – 32. Size availability varies by color. This similar skirt is available in regular and petite sizes.
Eloquii Placed Print Pencil Skirt – was $69.90, now $41.94
with code OMG
I was disappointed to find that most of Eloquii’s pencil skirts aren’t lined, but this pretty printed one is! It’s got a fairly summery vibe, but pull the black from the print with a black top and opaque tights and it’ll work through winter, too. Available in sizes 14 – 28. Couldn’t find anything truly similar in regular sizes, but Boden has lovely lined and printed pencil skirts in regular and a few petite sizes.
Sustainable resources for lined plus-sized pencil skirts:
- eBay – Sustainable options are in short supply, but eBay has gently used options.
- Etsy – Some handmade options come unlined, but message the vendor to see if lining can be added!
- Eileen Fisher – If you’re more focused on sustainable and plus-sized and can deal with unlined styles …
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for lined plus-sized pencil skirts:
- Talbots – Since Talbots does lots of conservative suiting, their skirts tend to be lined. How cute is this bright floral pencil skirt in sizes 12W – 24W?
- Nordstrom – The Sejour line in particular has some great lined basics.
- Jessica London – Simple wool and suiting options, all lined and super versatile.
