Animal Print Slip on Sneakers – Steve Madden

Except for a brief Spice Girls-influenced platform sneakers phase, I have never been into sneakers. Even in high school, while everyone else wore sneakers, I was towering around in funky platforms and occasionally wore sandals if I absolutely needed a flat shoe. I’m not sure what that was all about. I think it was because I have never been a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl and the fact that sneakers were a part of my school uniform did not help either. They were just never stylish enough for me, especially with my strict shoegasm rule for purchasing any new shoes.

But this latest slip on sneaker trend? Count me on board, please! After seeing them on countless Instagram posts and street style blogs, it was hard to resist this promise of beautiful yet comfortable shoes. They look great with skirts, jeans, and even maxi dresses and they come in so many colors and patterns, I’m tempted to get them in basic black and tartan as well!

Both high-end designers and high street brands like H&M have their own versions, so you’re bound to find a pair no matter what your budget is. I chose these Steve Madden shoes because they looked just as luxurious in person and I walk a lot, so they need to be long-lasting. And of course, I got them in my favorite neutral –leopard print!

So what do you think? Are you a fan of slip on sneakers?

I love this trend! It’s so comfortable and I always try to get slip on shoes because I take my shoes off when I get home. At the moment I am rocking some black and grey herringbone Vans. The herringbone design is pretty thin so I can wear them casually or with something more dressy.

Those sound so pretty, I can totally imagine them with a cute skirt or peg trousers!

I love, love, love the ‘sport shoe’ trend! Although I don’t have any slip ons – but that’s only because I’ve been busy buying other things – I do have two pairs of lace up Carvela suede pumps – identical apart from the colour – a nude and gold pair I lived in last Summer and will probably live in this Summer too, and a black and silver pair I’ve lived in over the Winter. My purple satin lace-up Vans have had their first outing now we’re having some drier weather, and faves however are my silver Steve Madden loafers; not quite a sport shoe, I know, but with those thick, soft flatforms and sturdy leather upper, my feet adore them!

i’ve seen those silver loafers, they are beautiful! I’m going to have to check out Vans now, they seem to be a popular choice!

Not for me. I’m just not a sneaker type of gal. I prefer flats for comfort.
