Dressed for: Plaid Slouch

Already Pretty outfit featuring black sweater, slouchy plaid pants, black ankle booties, stretch bracelets

Sweater – thrifted – similar
Pants – CAbi (no longer available) – similar
Booties – Steve Madden (no longer available) – similar
Bracelets – various – similar look
Earrings – Corsetsimilar

I bought these pants last fall before I’d truly fallen in love with the pleated, slouchy silhouette. A moment of ESP, perhaps? Or maybe it’s just that Husband Mike has always said he loves me in plaid pants, and that fact floats through my brain whenever I find a pair that really works for me. Either way, this pair is very fall, both in palette and in weight, and a great match for a simple sweater and ankle boots.

Plaid is big this season! Anyone else in possession of plaid trousers? Plaid something else? Got a favorite color scheme or style?

Yes, I’m very much into plaid for the fall. I have a tunic from GAP in blue and red plaid; a button front shirt in black and red plaid; a pencil skirt in black and red plaid; and a sleeveless wool coat in grey and cream plaid. I was thinking about trying a pair of plaid pants from LOFT, but I much prefer skirts and dresses and I don’t give the pants I already have enough wear time.

I love plaid. I have five plaid wool pencil skirts. Can’t wait for cool weather to wear them.

In high school (around ’87), I had an awesome pair of yellow and black plaid Guess jeans! Plaid always reminds me of high school, in a good way.

I have several plaid scarves. They go with most of my fall/winter clothes.
