Do you have a post on how to wear neon without looking ridiculous? If not, I’d love to see one!
I remember neon. I lived through the 80s. I never in a million years thought I’d don these blaring brights again but here we are in the 21st century, and I’m just as smitten with neon as I was back in 1983. I know that it’s not a color family that holds universal appeal, but if you’re curious about how to wear neon now and make it look fresh, here are my pointers:

Big, bold brights are on the docket for spring, and I’m guessing that scares the PANTS off some of you. And even if you don’t care about trends and are, therefore, still in possession of your pants, I’ve got some tips for ways to wear fabulously bright shades without looking like a Rainbow Brite doll.
TAMP ‘EM DOWN WITH DARKS
Yes, I love to wear intense, bright red right next to my face. It is my favorite color, after all. But in this outfit, I’ve paired it with a dark navy dress, which turns that blaring brightness down considerably. Utilize dark jewel tones, deep blues and navies, or really any deep shade to tamp down your brights.

Reader Dina sent me this question via email:
I bought myself a seersucker blazer [with gray and white stripes]. I’ve been trying to incorporate more blazers and office appropriate summer cover ups for the over air-conditioned spaces and this seemed perfect for the summer. I went out to see a play over the weekend and put the blazer on with a black skirt and coral tee. My husband looked at it with a big “No, you may not wear seersucker with black,” and that comment (which was very loving!) plus the fact it was a bit too boxy for that particular skirt made me change my outfit. But I was left with a burning problem: How do I wear the blazer?! Most of my bottoms are darker in color and I tend to not wear jeans to the office. I had dreams of adding this to a black sheath dress and now I’m left unsure!
