Casual Outfit Roundup: Week of March 6, 2011

I’ve got a bonus outfit from last week to share …

Already Pretty outfit featuring Bionic Unicorn necklace
Cashmere wrap, a gift – similar
Leather sheath dress, via eBay – similar in faux leather, similar vintage
Tights, Target (no longer available) – similar
Boots, Jeffrey Campbell X-ray (no longer available) – here’s a pair on eBay
Necklace, on loan from Bionic Unicorn

I wore this to attend Samantha Rei’s solo show at Hell’s Kitchen, which was incredibly fun and INCREDIBLY inspiring. Samantha is a local clothing designer, and most of her garments have a bit of a steampunk edge to them, so lots of nipped waists, corset-style tops, and big full skirts. Just my kinda stuff. I fell in love with just about everything that came down the runway – including some high-waisted bloomers that just about knocked my socks off – and even got to meet the designer. She is gorgeous and funny and exudes creativity from every pore. It was a blast. (See some great images of the looks right here.) read more
