Lovely reader Jenni (from Helsinki!) sent this question via e-mail:
I’m thinking about a subject, which I think you haven’t covered yet (or at least I don’t remember): how to wear coats with skirts and dresses and especially how different hem lengths and silhouettes work together. The climate here in Helsinki must be pretty similar to what you have there in MN, which means winters are COLD. Therefore it would be great to read more about coat lengths compared to skirt lengths. Example from my life: I was wearing a lovely felt A-line skirt, that hit below the knees, then realized all my trench coats were considerably shorter and my nice outfit was totally ruined after I added a coat. I had go out and couldn’t change the skirt but I ended up feeling stupid the whole day… As the winter is approaching it would be great to hear your thoughts and how you’ve solved these kinds of problems.

Reader Beth e-mailed me this question:
I’ve started branching out into asymmetric pieces. Nothing too dramatic but I often find myself unsure of what to do with them. For instance, I have a dress that has an asymmetric neckline and I love it, it’s totally my style and it’s comfy/fun to wear. But when I start looking to add accessories or a cardigan or something else, I feel like I’m not doing a great job of making the best of the asymmetry. It looks… not right. Any tips on how to integrate asymmetrical pieces into your wardrobe?

Amanda e-mailed me this request:
I was wondering if you consider doing a blog post or offer some advice on styling long cardigans so they don’t look frumpy. I just bought my first one [and] it seemed like a good way to convert some of my summer dresses into fall or winter ensembles, and I see outfits with long cardis that I just love on other people. But I’m not sure what I think about making ti work for me. I’m on the tall side with a proportional curvy figure. The cardigan I bought is nice (and I love the belt that comes with it), but it has pockets that make it not lie super-flat over the hips. And basically it just didn’t look quite “right” when I tried it with some of the dresses I’d been thinking of.
