Hmmm, it occurs to me that, since I never wear this blazer unbuttoned it might actually be … a shirt. A very wooly, structured shirt. Probably not since someone else might opt to wear it open, but if we’re defining things by how they’re used and worn instead of how they’re intended to be used and worn, this is totally a shirt. read more

There’s something so satisfying about working two or more underutilized items into a single outfit. I’ve adored this cardigan for as long as I’ve owned it, but it’s actually quite a bit longer than most of my coats, so unless I want to do some creative tucking it is best worn in fall and spring when it’s possible to go coatless. And these boots seem to have a secret fan club, since at least two of you have inquired about them in the past few weeks. I still love them, but discovered upon reviewing old outfit posts that they hit really high on my leg and are, therefore, a bit tough to style. There were also several winter months during which I couldn’t get them zipped! (Fluevog cuts narrow, people.) Amazingly, these two tricky pieces play well together. Triumph! read more
