This new-to-me silk skirt was an eBay bargain, but it’s DEFINITELY getting relegated to summer wear from now on. It’s thin, unlined, and prone to fits of embarrassing static cling. My slip didn’t work, and eventually I resorted to the old tap-water-on-the-tights trick. (More on that tomorrow.) So cute, but so fussy. Eesh. read more

I’ve worn this bolero sweater many times, always buttoned up, and I’ve been curious about other options. Unbuttoned and left alone it looks floppy and bizarre, but today I tried pinning the flaps down and I’m digging the look. Gives the sweater a fun little asymmetric, slightly military flair. read more

Today, I felt compelled to wear winter layers. There’s a 3/4-sleeve tee under the blazer and a second, silk, floor-length maxi beneath the jersey one. Why all the bundling? Because … because … there were SNOWFLAKES flying around when I took my walk this morning. Not tons and they didn’t accumulate, but still. Snowflakes. And cold, cold wind. read more
