I’m still relying heavily on blacks and browns, but starting to mix in more white, gray, and lighter wash denims. Gotta get with the seasonal program, right? Last week, I had two marvelous clients, both of whom owned loads and loads of jewel-toned clothing. And I talked about gray as an alternative neutral to black, and how it would let the jewel tones really shine instead of sucking the life out of them. And then I wore this: Black and jewel tones. Because the outfit just fell together so nicely, and because style “rules” are made to be bent and broken. Though I totally deserve an earful from my clients for my colorful hypocrisy. read more
