How could I NOT post this outfit, in light of our look at military dressing influences earlier this week? The moto vest may hint at my hidden desire to join the Hell’s Angels, but the olive green shirt and camo-print scarf are all army. Eeesh. Kinda hilarious, really. I am terrified of motorcycles and get winded after running for a block. No biker gang or armed force in their right mind would ever take me. Then again, I adore my tulle skirt and would make any actual ballerina choke on her own laughter with my dance moves. read more

I do my best to resist buying every cat-print item that floats across my radar, and I do a decent job of it. I’ve got a cat-print scarf, and until now that was it. But since I’ve been curious about Dorothy Perkins quality for a while now and since this shirt has just the right arty-graphic bent to it, I caved. No regrets. (And quality is surprisingly good for the price. This tee requires a cold wash and flat drying, which is a little fussier than most, but definitely do-able.) read more
