We’ve had a marvelously long spring this year, and truly warm weather is only just starting to settle in. This outfit is from a cool day last week, but the scarf I’m wearing is made from whisper-weight silk that will work well into the hot summer months. This dress is magic, I swear. It’s just a simple little jersey knit dress, but it never fails to make me feel like my best self. Strong and capable, but also comfortable and chic. A dynamite combination. Add some bold strappy sandals and a chunky leather cuff, and I’m this close to going all Wonder Woman on ya. read more

It did not occur to me that wearing a shirt emblazoned with a skull to a screening of “The Pirates!” might make me look like a wannabe. A wannabe pirate, that is. Since I get seasick just thinking about my half dozen outings on a sailboat I can safely say that a pirate’s life is NOT for me. But I can see how my fellow moviegoers might feel misled. read more
