Ahhh, transitional seasons. We’re still having plenty of warm days, but since we’re well into September now, I’m happily wearing my Lysse faux leather pants on the regular again. I snuck them into a few summer outfits, but always felt like I was pushing the envelope a bit. No envelope-pushing now, though. It may feel like summer but our brains are reaching for all things fall, which means a tee and leather skinnies is an ideal combo. read more

OK, technically there’s a bit of snow waaaay back behind me. But let’s just pretend it’s not there.

Ruffles aren’t usually my thing. I’ve owned maybe two ruffle-detail items in the past 20 years, and neither ever went into heavy rotation. But recently I’ve unearthed a couple that can definitely be styled into the badass genre, including this collarless wool jacket which works well with the faux leather pants. It probably won’t get much wear this season, but I’m glad to have it my stash for next fall. (The other badass-ruffle item is also from Twice – a black cotton blouse that will make an appearance once it gets a bit warmer!) read more

So many favorites in this outfit: These pants are certainly earning their keep, as is the bag. The jacket was an early fall find, and one of my comfiest. And, of course, I adore my Feminist Apparel “Cats Against Catcalls” tee. I love it when beloved items work well together in a mix. read more
