Gracey on Belts

Little known fact*, the first belt in recorded history is attributed to Grrrog, a prehistoric hunter who got tired of his seal-fur pants falling down when he was chasing mastodons across the Siberian steppes. Littler known fact*, the first belt was actually created by Grrrog’s wife, Mrs. Grrrog, for her husband, when he complained of his pants falling down on the hunt.

Talbots.

My relationship with this store has been rocky, to say the least. I spent most of my life believing that Talbots was stocked with nautical-themed, slightly stodgy gear that would age me by several decades. And honestly? I think that in years past, that might actually have been the case. But recently, this vendor has done an amazing job of modernizing its offerings and injecting a few key trends into its stock, all the while remaining true to its classic, quality roots.

I have sung the praises of Talbots jeans for ages, as I find them to be comfortable, durable, and high-waisted enough to work on my figure.
