No, not those warm colors. I’m talking about clothes that are warm and are a color, instead of the usual winter black:

Although, I guess technically the sweater counts as one of those warm colors as well.
On Friday, which is when I wore this, it was freezing here in Pittsburgh and made even colder by the wind. And all I could think to wear was layers of black. Because it seems that all my warmest clothes are black and gray.
But, I didn’t want to wear black and gray. I wanted to wear color. Of course, I also wanted to be warm. So I dug out a bright cashmere sweater and paired it with some non-black pants:
