This was the first time I hauled out the perforated boots this summer, and I was immediately reminded that they tickle. OK, the boots themselves don’t tickle, but the feeling of a screened breeze hitting the calves feels surprisingly tickly. The boots provide a marvelous way to downplay unshaven legs while still allowing for ventilation. Ahhhh. read more

The idea of perforated boots has fascinated me for several seasons. Since boots are, by far, my favorite footwear the notion of hot, humid weather-appropriate tall boots held tremendous appeal. I finally sprung for these a few months back, and have been waiting to try them out. It was neither hot nor humid when I wore them for their first outing, but I can say for certain that I adore them. Comfy, cute, and the only boots I own that allow for calf-breezes. read more
