Another pre-sickness outfit for ya today. These polka dot jeans were a Christmas gift from my parents, and they are such fun. For their first outing, I couldn’t resist pairing them with a navy striped tee for a little pattern mixing. read more

Nope, didn’t wear this today. Still feeling under the weather, though creeping toward recovery. This was worn before Christmas to a very unusual occasion: I had a work meeting at my house! This allowed me to wear tall heels on a slippery winter’s day. Just clambering out into our street for these photos made me aware that such a footwear choice for out-of-the-house meetings would have been disastrous, but it felt fun to sneak them in for a day of working and collaborating inside. read more

I’ve seen a couple of outfits similar to this one, but Emma Watson’s take was the one that really inspired me. I love the clean, modern look of a black “column of color” with a contrasting bright, white blazer. The necklace was scored at an antique store during Audi’s recent visit, and I loved letting this massive piece just peek out between the blazer’s lapels. read more
