Allow me to take a moment to express something I feel every day: Gratitude. To you!

Thank you for reading. Thank you for participating. Thank you for asking hard questions and being honest. Thank you for supporting me and supporting each other. Thank you for being insightful and respectful and challenging and curious. Thank you for speaking your minds and for being interested in what floats around inside mine. Thank you for creating a vibrant community and helping that community to grow. Thank you for your humbling e-mails and tweets and messages, which keep me going. Thank you for telling me about great articles you’ve read and great topics you’d like to read. Thank you for being open and kind and interested and interesting.

Thank you for coming back to this website day after day.

Thank you for helping me reach my goal of empowering as many women as I possibly can.

Thank you for everything.

It is my pleasure!! Thank you for having a blog and all the work you do for it! I am sure it takes a lot of time and I appreciate it!! I am 66, so some ideas are just not for me, but I still love looking at them. BTW, do you have any ideas for us older gals?

  2. Sigi

Why, you are welcome, dear Sal. And thank YOU for putting so much time and effort into a blog I enjoy visiting every day. You’re a long time favourite. 🙂

  3. G

Thank you. It’s a great blog and you are doing a terrific public service for women!
Also appreciate your candidness here and elsewhere about your gynecological issues – a bit taboo, but important and useful info.

    • Sally

Happy to do it, G – and I agree, those issues can be taboo but the more we talk about them and share resources, the better off we’ll all be. Please drop me an e-mail if you have any topical requests! I’m always open!

You are like my first cup of coffee in the morning…soooooo good and warm and needed. Merci beaucoup chère Sally pour tout.

Thank YOU! We keep coming because you keep bringing us excellent content day after day, Sal. I personally love starting my day with your blog. 🙂 And I share the content with friends, too. I bought your book for a friend who recent lost a lot of weight after gastric bypass surgery and she had never read anything like it. She loved your body positive messages and your focus on style, rather than fashion. It was a life changer for her. So thank you!!

    • Sally

Elin, I’m so glad to hear that! Thank you for spreading the word and for your support.

  6. LinB

Thank YOU, Sally, for asking interesting questions, and presenting varying viewpoints in a cogent, reasonable, non-threatening way. Thank you for allowing us to express our own opinions in a forum that does not judge us harshly if we disagree either with you, or with one another. The world is a great big place, and many parts of it are scary, but your blog is an oasis of kindness, gentle humor, and good advice.

    • Sally

LinB, it makes me so happy to hear that you feel Already Pretty is a safe place to have discussions and express varied opinions. That’s EXACTLY what I want for this space!

Thank you for bringing accessible fashion advice to women no matter their size, shape, or budget.

Thank you for all you write and how open you are about yourself. I always read your blog twice a day and I love seeing how you’ve put yourself together. You inspire me to be creative and try new combos.

  9. Veronica

The pleasure’s all mine. I love reading your blog and how you distinguish between style and fashion. I always assumed they were one in the same.:) Now I know that style can be anything I want it to be, because it’s mine.;)

    • Sally

I was the same way, Veronica! Now I definitely feel that style is so much more personal, and I’m so glad you’re enjoying exploring yours.

Thank you Sal! Reading your website is one of the internet highlights of my day, and I love getting to work 10 minutes early so I can read over your post o’ the day and late night sale picks before I start my day! You truly foster a community of open-mindedness, inclusion and diversity and I love being a part of it. You are a rock star and a brave, audacious, honest woman who inspires me every day!

  11. Jen

Yours is the first style blog I started reading way back when. I still love it and always recommend it.

  12. Cynthia

Thank you, Sally, for being such a prolific blogger. I am 63, have been retired for five years, and was looking for some style advice. I was a teacher for 38 years so had to adjust to dressing for a very different life, and ma at the point where I really needed to shop! I love your blog and have found several others through your links. You rock 🙂

    • Sally

Cynthia, I’m so glad. Re-inventing your style now must be such an adventure!

  13. Break Fast Habits

You are very welcome Sal, I have been reading you now daily for YEARS 😉 In fact, I was there when you used to eat your shoes on a regular basis. Love every minute of it. Carry on empowering and inspiring xx

  14. Samantha

No, Sally–thank YOU! I’ve been reading your blog for a little over a year now, and you never fail to inspire me, both sartorially and emotionally. Your pieces on body positivity and acceptance have helped me tremendously. Thanks for being awesome.

    • Sally

That is so good to hear, Samantha! I’m delighted to know that you’re enjoying both the style and body image content here.

  15. DM

Sally, a big thank YOU! Your blog is inspirational and fun. It has taught me to think differently about self-image, and I daresay, has opened my eyes to really maturing in a lot of my views. Truly, you are doing a great thing here. I recommend your blog for everyone, of all ages. THANK YOU. >>From India<<

    • Sally

You ROCK for spreading the word, DM, and I’m just tickled to know that you’re reading from India!

  16. Vildy

I’m a long-time reader, originally struck by the force of your driving observation – that we’re *already* pretty. Also, since I’ve been quite the style chameleon, your idea that most of the pillars of our ideal style are already in our closets and need to be identified. Your prompts and exercises are wonderfully honed. Most of all, I appreciate that you are consistently non-judgmental and never deliver any of those surprise slapdowns that so many other style “experts” do.

    • Sally

Vildy, I know you’ve been a long-time reader, and I so appreciate your continued support! So glad to hear, too, that my efforts to be non-judgmental are succeeding. That’s a HUGE goal for me!

  17. Rose-Anne

Aw, I just loved this. Gratitude is always a perfect fit. Every single time. Thank you for all the great content, Sal–your voice is always a treat to read.

  18. Kristin

Happy to be a reader! I have you and your blog to thank for giving me a kick in the butt and getting me to work on becoming a better dresser and to do it with confidence and enjoyment 🙂

Let me echo Janice’s thoughts. As someone who is the other side of 50, I find many of your idea’s flexible and do fit all sizes, shapes and ages. You have a talent for combining creativity, teaching and looking at the big picture with your blog – and making it look so stress free and fun. Thank you.
